As a novice folder, I need as much leeway as I can get. The paper in this set is thin and flexible enough that each fold isn't "set in stone" so to speak, so even if I make a mistake, I can unpack and try again.
The patterns are varied and attractive, though occasionally they seem a bit too busy for some models. On the whole, though, they look rather nice.
Some of the later models I'm encountering in my book seem to require thicker, less flexible paper, however. I can make them with this paper, but it doesn't seem to have the required rigidity for oblong boxes, houses and pianos.

The photo for this product (and other Tuttle origami papers) are misleading. The colors look fairly subdued, but they are anything but. These are *vivid* bright colors... not to my liking. This might be okay for a kid, but the look is wrong for traditional or artistic origami. Disappointing.
