A collection of models that will blow your socks off!,

Jeremy Shafer provides the origami world with models and techniques that have never been explored before. The book contains detailed instructions for around 80 models, with thoughts behind the folds and jokes, that make your journey through the book more enjoyable. I particularly like the collection of action models; especially the flasher. The models range from simple to derangly complex (Flasher Hat!). Here are models for origamists of all skill levels and tastes; action models(flashers, balancing eagle, waxing waning moon, swiss army knife ), heart models, crab, spider web, Levi jeans, running car, blinker, surfer on a wave to name a few. This book is really worth adding to your collection, and will bring many years of enjoyment(years trying to fold the Flasher Hat!)...

This is one origami book that I return to time and time again. It contains unique models which you will not find elsewhere. The diagrams and style are superb, clear and very witty. As soon as you open this book you know you are in for a treat. Even the simpler models are so well implemented and the intermediate to complex models seem achievable due to Shafer's clear diagrams and written instructions.
My favourite folds from this book are the Dancing Couple, The Evening Suit (which stands up perfectly), The Glancer and The Flasher. This is really superb stuff which I recommend to any origami fan. More please Mr Shafer!

As an experienced paper folder [been at it for 50 years of my life!] I feel I am able to offer a few words here. The book is created by an entertainer and the content is in the style of an entertainment rather than the drier style usually employed. The projects are fun to make and wonderfully illustrated ... however I would not advise this as your first ever book on origami! You need to be able to judge what sort of paper and what thickness will work better with which model and be able to work with a lot more precision than that of the complete beginner - but as it is the best value for money you will ever see it is worth buying this and keeping it until you are ready for it.
It is just 'that' good! I cannot imagine any collection of books about origami to be complete without this work. There is so much that cannot be found anywhare else presented in a unique style. I was Astonished and I was Amused - and for the price these days, this was a 'must have' for me!
