Here's the ultimate "Take-You-By-The-Hand" beginner's manual for creating and managing your own organic garden. Even if you know nothing about organic gardening.... so you can get back your health and energy and save a stack of money.

You're going to learn that organic gardening can greatly improve your health and energy levels while really lowering your weekly food bills, and it only takes about half an hour per week.

If you're like me you probably hate the idea of eating foods (and providing them for your family) that may have been grown with chemicals.

I want to share with you not only the joy of producing fresh, delicious food for your family, but also the health advantages.... spending time in the fresh air and sunshine, stress relief, and chemical free, vitamin filled, fresh, natural foods - what our bodies really crave for and need.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid Information - Just what I was looking for! 30 May 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I love gardening and healthy foods, but I have never got around to creating my own vegetable patch. The recent sunny weather gave me the motivation to get out in the garden and get some new projects going.

I love this book! It contains a lot more information than I expected! It covers all the aspects of organic gardening to the smallest detail, it is very well formatted and superbly written, with plenty of illustrations, tables and charts that I have found very helpful.

There are tips on everything, and I particularly liked the sections on how to create a fertile soil, which vegetables are the easiest to grow and how to create a vegetable garden in small places (I have a very small garden!).

The information on this book is priceless and I will come back to it over and over again. I am also planning to create a raised plot, so I was really happy when I saw there was a section on that. I am really excited now!

Recommended!

2.0 out of 5 stars A superficial book 21 April 2013
By Kenn
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Okay, there are some good pointers, but the book is in 119 pages and could easily be cut to 80.I get the feeling that the auther really does not know to much about gardening. I know it is not nice to say so but it is just a feeling. The pictures are in black and white but of very poor quality, small but taking up way too much space on the page. No text to explain them. Some pages are almost empty and two others are ads for her website. Here and there there are very good and useful information so the book is not all together hopeless. There are tips on organic pest control but you could find many more on the internet. The typesetteing is very plain, large and clear- great for elderly poeple. But not so much concreat knowledge. And I do have many books on gardening/container gardening -so i am just comparating and giving you me feel of the book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Organic Food Gardening Beginner's Manual 28 May 2012
By KristiK - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book is great! Easy to read, step by step instructions. It even tells you how to start your own compost, which is something I will definitely try now. I have gardened in the past but I never thought about the no dig method. I am going to give that a try too. I recommend this book to both beginners and those of us who think we know a thing or two about gardening! Two "Green" Thumbs Up!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ultimate Guide for Creating and Managing an Organic Garden 26 May 2012
By Syed S. Ahmed - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
For those of us who are concerned with the chemicals in the regular produce, going organic is the only option. Although organic produce is the healthier alternative, it can get very expensive. One of the best way to get around this is to create your own organic garden.

That is where this book comes in. It is extremely well laid out and covers all the basics that even the most inexperienced gardener can use to create and maintain an organic garden.

It covers topics such as finding the best area to grow the veggies, building healthy and fertile soil in a cost effective way, 9 tips to transplanting seeds, tips for watering the garden, how to make a compost, how to make fertilizer and much, much more..

The ebook has fully functional TOC and formatted perfectly for the kindle device thereby providing a pleasant reading experience.

5.0 out of 5 stars An answer for all my questions and then some! 26 May 2012
By WI Northern Star - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Litteraly it did just that! This manual was easy to read and contained the appropriate information for any beginner setting up their first organic garden. I have only begun gardening seriously in the last 4 yrs and this manual will help me considerably. I want to do things the right way and I was just about to give up gardening totally when last year hardly anything produced. My tomatos didn't grow and the cukes died. The only things I got to grow was carrots and onions. And then some of the carrots were white and not orange. I am now inspired to give it another whirl and with living in a very rural area I can create a large compost area. Thank you from a WI Northern Star
