All the projects are perfect for beginners and there are even ideas to turn little fingers green, helping children to understand the importance of treating the earth with care and respect. I was in two minds about getting this book but glad I did. There are some great little ideas in there, which I have used (I am a novice). Even what to some would be a simple idea i.e. using a plastic storage box with lid as a cheap/small green house, was something I had never thought off! I started off my lettuce in this and enjoying my homegrown salads now.

More about pots! 24 May 2011
By LC
Lovely pictured book, however not structured well. Was expecting to find much more information on companion planting, organic ways of dealing with disease and solving problems with indications plants not doing well. There
is also too much emphasis on chosing pots etc when I think it ought to be about the plants etc. Overall didn't find the book very useful.

For someone with a very tiny courtyard garden, this book gave me information, hints and tips about growing vegetables, fruit and herbs in containers. I found this book extremely easy to follow, and would recommend it to anyone with a small garden who needs containers for fruit and vegetable growing.
