The clock has a large orange dimmable display which is easy to read, yet not too bright at night. It shows the exact time at all times due to it picking up the time transmissions given out over the airwaves in most parts of the country. This is a very good feature as the clock never needs to be reset after a power cut, or as some clock do, drift from the correct time. It has a small foot-print so does not take up much space on a bedside table, and it has rubber feet, thereby not scratching the surface. As well as giving out a normal alarm sound there are four nature based sounds. We have it set to birds singing in the morning and when it is set to level two it sounds exactly like the morning birds we have outside our home in the trees. It is such a nice relaxing way to wake up in the morning. The clear Perspex can be switched to light up with different selectable colours, or it can change and go through the range of colours it has. At night it is too bright and takes away the total blackness of a room , so we have that option switched off. If you were relaxing in bed at night with a glass of wine, then it might be nice to select a colour to match your mood or environment. Then if you like total blackness while you sleep the light can be switched off. The various features might mean the manual needs to be read a few time to understand fully how it works, but after a while it is easy to use.
We consider this clock to be a very good buy because of its accurate time keeping and different relaxing themes of waking up. Plus the coloured clear perspex which can light up, can be handy at times.
