I don't EVER write reviews - this is the first one. I'm only writing it because I was bewildered by the conflicting comments made by the purchasers of different safety helmets, many of whom seemed to be chucking them in the bin, unassembled (see the Draper safety helmet reviews!). I've now been using the helmet quite regularly for several weeks. It's a good, robust, lightweight piece of kit that does exactly what it says.
However (this is is the important bit) DO NOT be put off by the inadequate and confusing assembly instructions which are every bit as bad as said by others (a small bundle of apparently unrelated or conflicting leaflets about different parts of it). Instead, to expand on what one of the other reviewers said - copy the pictures of the helmet in Amazon into Word (or a similar program) - either using Print Screen, or right-clicking and copying the image, if it lets you, then blow up the pictures in Word by dragging on one corner of the picture with your mouse cursor, and then either print them, or assemble the helmet in sight of your screen.
You'll find that the pictures are worth a thousand words, and suddenly the obscure instructions make sense. The helmet will then take 5-10 minutes to assemble, maximum, and is very good. I'm very pleased with it.
