First the music: what a joy to see these pieces on the page. Britten's orchestration is just sublime and so to see it all there clearly laid out is wonderful
Now to the book itself. The score is well presented and printed. Clear and legible. The only real downside is the type of binding which cannot be laid open and flat without breaking it . So one is left constantly having to use two hands to crease back the turned pages (in the hope that the biding will hold together for a few years!) Shame it wasn't ring bound or bound like the Dover editions.
Bit that aside, the music takes the hassle away within a few bars. Enjoy!

Only place I could find the entire four sea interludes. Peter Grimes is a fantastic opera, and the Variations on a Theme by Frank Bridge are also brilliant. The Sinfonia da Requiem isn't my favorite work, but it's interesting nonetheless. The print is clear and legible, and Hawkes is known for the accuracy of their editions. The price is a little high, though, but for me it was worth it.

A great tool to connect with Britten's music.
