Product Description

Product Description

An action-packed game of fun for all the family. The aim of the game is simply to be the first to reach the 'Finish' star in the centre of the board; however, along the way players have to perform all sorts of activities, otherwise they have to carry out a forfeit. To make things even more exciting, some of the actions have to be performed within a set time, using the sand timer. And players having to carry out a forfeit won't know what they have to do until they have used the magic decoder to reveal their secret task. Some of the cards will ask the player to 'Make a noise', in which case the player has to sing the song or make the sound shown on the card. 'Who am I' cards mean the player must silently mime an action, person or animal. 'Action!' means they must do as the card tells them before the sand timer runs out, and 'Spin it!' involves performing whatever action the spinner tells them to do. 'Forfeit' involves using the magic decoder to reveal the task and then carrying it out. As well as helping with basic maths and English skills, this game is great fun for children who enjoy being the centre of attention, and may give slightly more shy children the confidence to come out of their shells. Children enjoy the added excitement of the sand timer and the magic decoder, and the bright colours and cheerful illustrations make this game very appealing. Aimed at children aged 5 and over, this game would be particularly good fun for sleepovers. It is suitable for 2 to 4 players, and is made with durable recycled boards.

Great, great family game - one to get everyone involved, even the grown ups! There are different types of activites (mime, song etc) and each person gets to perform - really good fun, not too competetive as everyone is enjoying the turns, as opposed to rushing to the end of the game. Highly recommended for rainy afternoons with the kids - tons of fun.

This is great game for children and adults to play together. My 4 year old is just learning to read so its better to be in teams or if someone is around to help read the cards and activities for her then we play it that way. If not then I read the cards and if she can do the action then she moves 1 space forward. You can adapt it to suit. I highly recommend this game.

This game was recommended to me and I'm really glad I bought it. My two girls (6 and 4) both really enjoy playing it and it's fun for the adults to join in too (unlike some of their other board game which leave me yawning after about five minutes). The format is simple and it's easy to adapt the rules a bit to accommodate the youngest players. Another fab game from Orchard Toys.

I brought this game for my son for christmas and we have had it out loads of times. Both he (5 years) and my daughter of 3 really enjoy making the noises and doing the mimes to get around the board (as do me and my husband). There are of course some things that they don't know, but we just skip to another card. It will definitely last them years as they grow and are finally able to read the instructions themselves! We haven't even had any issues when they loose, and as the forfeits aren't all bad (some say move forward a few spaces) they don't even mind that. A really good game for all the family and one that mom and dad won't be bored playing again and again.

I bought this for my daughter's 5th Birthday as she is a bit of a drama queen. The idea of the game is great and some of the things you have to do are hillarious. We have played with 3 generations, I was almost hysterical when my 73 year old mother-in-law had to perform 5 press-ups on one occasion and touch her toes on another (she managed to do that, fair play)!

Basically there are three categories of tasks:
1 Who am I?: - the player has to pretend to be something (like a ballet dancer, aeroplane, cat etc) without making any noise and everyone has to guess what they are.
2 Make a noise: without moving or speaking the player has to hum a tune or make the noise of, say, an animal and they other players must guess what it is.
3 Actions: - where you simply have to do what is written (hop, touch your toes etc), no-one has to guess

If the player can't/won't perform that task, or no-one guesses correctly they have to take a forfeit. These are often things like move back a few spaces. The particular forfeit is on the back of each card, only visible with the use of the red acetate "decoder".

I did enjoy this game however I would question the advertised age range. At 5 years old my daughter struggled to read "pretend to be riding a horse" and "hum the tune oranges and lemons" silently to herself. With help she did enjoy playing.

I bought this for my Granddaughters 8th birthday, everyone played, from age 6 to 60, it was great fun and will be going on holiday with us later in the year (and for many years to come I suspect) The grownups got just as much fun out of it as the children. Quite sturdy construction Too
