Product Description

Product Description

Race up the hill, using either the colour-match game boards or the number game boards. This game can be played in two ways - in each case, the aim is to be the first player to reach the top of the hill and spin the spinner to point to the well. In one version, the moves are decided firstly by throwing a colour-spot dice and moving the Jack and Jill characters to the first matching colour spot on the board. Once there, the player spins the spinner, which determines whether the player stays in that space or tumbles back to the start. In the counting game, the other side of the game board is used (with blank spaces), and the characters move as determined by the number shown on the number dice, followed by spinning the spinner as before. This fun game, for 2 to 4 players, can help children with their numeracy, literacy and PSHE skills. It is not simply a case of being ahead at any given time, as the spinner can send the leader back to the bottom of the hill at the last minute, so children learn to accept that winning is often purely down to luck. The game is suitable for children aged 3 and over, and because the number of spaces moved relies on matching colours or numbers of dots, children who are less confident with numbers and counting can play perfectly well.
