This is great as it has a "key" of the main animals and plants around the edge with their names, sizes and when they were alive. Kids can learn a bit about the dinosaurs from that, but also use it to find the dinosaurs in the picture once they've put it together.
There's a lot going on in the picture, too, so you can spend time talking about which dinos are vegetarian and which meat-eating, etc.
The colours are bright and attractive (although you might have to explain that no-one knows what colours these animals were).
My only suggestion would be that there could be a booklet or something included to give more information on each species, or even a separate book linked to the puzzle (that Amazon could do a deal on if you bought both!).

I was delighted to receive this 150 piece puzzle. Very informative and attractive. My 3 year old grandson can do it with help and loves the subject matter. He already knows the names of all the dinosaurs on the picture. My 5 year old grandson can do it unaided and loves it. Hopefully there will be more puzzles of dinosaurs as it is a favourite subject of all young children. With the imminent arrival of "Walking with Dinosaurs" at Nottingham and two London venues this summer, I suggest the makers of jigsaws start producing more puzzles and games about dinosaurs!Quickly!!

We bought this puzzle for my son for his 5th birthday. It has a lovely main picture and has all the names of the dinosaurs next to their pictures on the border. The puzzle pieces are of a good quality and don't seem to suffering wear despite lots of use. The first few times he did it, my son needed help to do the puzzle but he now does it on his own without any trouble. All in all a lovely puzzle.

Good quality
The puzzle is very good quality. The pieces are bright and shiny which you can't see until you buy. It is not a fun thing in my opinion, but very educational.

Worth it!

Dinosaurs discovered
Fun to do, with pieces that are a good size for a four year to handle and fit together. Lots to talk about as the puzzle is completed too.
