Come down to the farm and meet the friendly animals in this colourful, appealing jigsaw. With just 20 large pieces, younger children will love putting the puzzle together to see the finished farmyard. Aimed at children aged 3 and over, there are lots of ways to get extra play value, and the box has an activity guide with plenty of suggestions. Before you start, you can ask your child to find pieces showing particular things: a piece with mice on; a piece showing an apple; a piece with something red on. Then, when the puzzle is complete, there are lots of things to talk about and stimulate conversations with your child, which helps with their literacy skills. You can find things to count: how many sheep are there, and which tree has the most fruit on it? You could discuss colours: what colour is the pig? Can you find something blue? You can also talk about why the ducklings are a different colour to the mother duck, and what the farmer's wife is feeding to the chickens. The finished puzzle is 42cms x 30cms, and it is made of durable recycled board with a wipe clean surface which will give years of enjoyment.

My son is only just 2 but jigsaws are "how his brain works" so he loves it. The pieces are strong enough to survive a child learning on them. The jigsaw shapes are perfect so that each animal is recognisable in each piece so he can, for example, look for missing legs. A fantastic first jigsaw to let them go-it-alone and explore.

I bought this for my 18 month boy and he really enjoys this. Although the age group stated on the box is 3years, with some guidance he can put it together. The pieces are of good size. It is very colourful hence very attractive.

For 2-year olds rather than 3-4 yr olds
