This book is loved 3 generations in my family. My 6 year old likes the heros, monsters and battles. I love the fact that folklore and legend from different eras and parts of the world are being enjoyed by him. His gran likes reliving the retelling of such varied old classics as Robin Hood, Ali Barbar, Thesius and the Minotaur...etc. Great for educating our little ones, and they enjoy it too! Frequently chosen by my son as a bed time story.

My 6 year old was given this as a birthday present. He loves books and this has been an instant and constant hit. He objects to there not being enough picture books for his age. Yes he can read but why should he have to suddenly give up on big beautiful picture books that can still be read to him at bedtime? This is a total winner and is now a favourite birthday present for others.
