I never cease to be spellbound by Jane Ray's illustrations. Her attention to detail; the use of colour and the magical quality makes any book illustrated by her a must in my opinion. The stories all deal with friendship and love from the Adam and Eve story, the building of the Taj Mahal to Romeo and Juliet and many more along the way. I would recommend this to anyone to send as a gift to a beloved child (and keep a copy for themselves as well) - I did!
