I had to have a bridge fitted 12 years ago and was told by the dentist to buy floss that "looked like a shoelace" - I found that I couldn't at the largest Boots in the city or other chemists. I finally discovered "Superfloss" when I moved house and changed dentist (to one that had a hygienist)after a few years. The dentist sold these boxes but is often out of stock, so it is great to find it easily online.
The floss has a short end of thin white "plastic" floss then a stretch of soft padded floss and then a longer stretch of the plastic floss again. The idea is to thread the shorter Plastic end in between your "teeth" on the bridge where there is no attachment on the "teeth" and then pull the floss through to the padded part and guide it back and forth over the rootless teeth to clean out any debris. I have been told to do this once or maybe twice weekly. The remaining long stretch of plastic can be used as a normal floss to floss between your other teeth - it gives your gaps a good scouring!A bit thicker and rougher than the usual flosses and satin tapes etc you can buy.
I have had no gum problms with my bridge since using this and it feels good to be able to thoroughly clean.
Using one or two a week means that a box does last a long time. A must for bridge work.

Been recommended to use this by the dentist. bought this in Amazon as my local Boots does not seem to stock it. Not any cheaper than Boots but as postage is free, it's ok. Perhaps it is just this batch, but the rigid plastic bits are not what it used to be.. a bit flimsy and takes a while to thread through the bridgework. Items arrived promptly. happy with service.

My wife required a dental bridge as a result of a car accident a few years ago. Dental hygene is very difficult without this type of brush floss, which is easy to use and gives excellent results. Highly recomended to all with similar requirements,

It took some practice to use this at first but is excellent for the purpose of cleaning beneath a dental bridge,hard to find in shops but Amazon supplier was very good.
