There are too many issues to award this book with a higher rating:
1. The trauma chapter is far too basic. Only after having read that section I relised that you need a more comprehensive overview of craniofacial trauma. Don't expect decent coverage of all the different features of e.g. Le Fort IIs etc.
2. Exodontia section: complications section is too basic.
3. Removal of impacted 8s chapter = very poorly written. The author of the chapter seems to assume that the reader is already familiar with the subject because he does not cover division of crown, roots etc to any appreciable standard. VERY confusing.
4. Other bits and bobs e.g the author will tell you the treatment for intraglandular sialoliths in the submandibular gland but not the parotid etc. etc. etc. etc. ......
Wish I'd never bought it - waste of money. I ended up having to purchase 'Tooth Extraction: A Practical Guide' by Paul D. Robinson and read other separate texts devoted to impacted 8s, craniofacial trauma etc.
There are other oral surgery texts on the market - perhaps these are better.
