Product Description

Product Description

Oral-B TriZone 3000 is a triple-action, deep cleaning toothbrush designed around the way you naturally brush

Elevate your brushing experience and remove up to 100% more plaque* with the Braun Oral-B TriZone 3000 electric toothbrush. The revolutionary technology behind the TriZone 3000 combines the familiar brushing motion of a manual brush with the comprehensive power of advanced triple zone cleaning action to give you a long lasting clean, fresh feeling. With 40,000 pulsations and 8,800 sweeps per minute, the TriZone 3000 provides an efficient and effective whole-mouth cleaning.*

Each Oral-B toothbrush head comes with a coloured ring that fits on to the base of the replacement brush head. These rings come in a variety of colours allowing you to distinguish between different people’s brush heads if using the same toothbrush handle.

The Triple Zone experience

The first of its kind, the brush head of the TriZone 3000 is divided into three cleaning zones to keep your teeth and gums healthy:

ZONE 1: The dynamic angled power tip is designed to access hard-to-reach areas like the very back teeth while the pulsating, sweeping motion delivers a thorough clean.

ZONE 2: Non-sweeping bristles pulsate on the entire surface of your teeth to fight plaque build-up and ultimately keep all of your teeth clean.

Professional timer
Pressure sensor
Rechargeable handle
Three cleaning modes

ZONE 3: Sweeping, pulsating bristles reach deep between teeth for a stimulating brushing experience that can improve the overall health of your whole mouth.

Brushing is believing

The TriZone 3000 marries the familiarity of manual brushing with the power of Oral-B’s cutting-edge triple-action deep cleaning technology. This cleaning tool is strong enough to be tough on plaque, but gentle enough for everyday use. It provides improved gum health and a lasting clean, fresh feeling so powerful that once you try it, you’ll never want to go back to your manual brush. With wide sweeping bristles that reach significantly more tooth surface area than a regular manual brush, you can enjoy a comprehensive cleaning.

Why go electric?

The TriZone 3000 has several features to make sure you get the most out of your electric toothbrush:

  • A professional timer that ensures you are brushing for the recommended time to get the best results
  • Visual pressure sensor stops pulsations and lights up to alert you that you’re brushing too hard
  • A rechargeable handle features a long-lasting battery that lasts up to seven days between charges (when brushing two minutes, twice per day)
  • Three advanced cleaning modes--Daily Clean, Sensitive and Whitening—to further personalise your brushing experience.
The TriZone 3000 versus a manual brush

The TriZone 3000 was designed to be used like your manual brush while removing up to 100% (two times) more plaque, even between teeth. This brush also reduces gingivitis up to three times better than a regular manual toothbrush, reaches up to two times deeper between teeth and removes four times more plaque along the gum line than a regular manual brush. Innovative motion delivers a superior clean in between teeth while reaching places manual brushes normally miss.

Customise your brushing routine

The TriZone 3000 is also designed to fit the Oral-B FlossAction, ProWhite, Sensitive Clean and Precision Clean rotating brush heads if you desire a precise, tooth-by-tooth cleaning.

The Oral-B guarantee

The number one dentist recommended toothbrush brand worldwide, Oral-B guarantees satisfaction or your money back. See pack for details. Brush with the TriZone 3000 for a cleaner, healthier mouth.* After all, the cleaner your mouth is, the more you can open up to the world.

I have been using my Oral B trizone toothbrush for about two weeks now and here are my first impressions.
Slim design that fits easily in your hand
    Your teeth feel really clean
Warning light if your press too hard while brushing
Timer to indicate when you should have cleaned each zone of your teeth
    Easy to transport
    Replacement heads cheaper than Phillips
Good battery life - I got 7 days on my first full charge and I religiously brush my teeth twice a day and usually for longer than just the 2 minutes

The toothbrush head feels large in your mouth (I have used a Phillips Sonicare for the last 4 years and the head and stem of that toothbrush is slimmer)
Location of the off switch is hard to locate while brushing
Variable speeds (pointless) the only speed that would really clean your teeth is the fastest one
Having to go through the other speeds to turn it off

The reason I switched to Oral B is that I have found the reliability of the Sonicare to be poor and the replacement heads are very expensive. The battery on my sonicare started to go after just over a year (it's never a good sign when you can find instructions on I fix it.com to replace the battery yourself)
My wife has had an Oral B toothbrush for longer than I have had my old sonicare and it is still growing strong
I really don't notice any difference in how clean my teeth feel between the sonic are and the Oral B

I bought the Oral B Trizone 3000 because my Professional Care 3000 was a few years old and getting a little weak even though I kept it fully charged, and because I knew it was exactly the same model as the Professional Care, but with the new head included (and a new bright green colour).

I have, in the last couple of years, tried 2 Sonicare models (which I find are too abrasive and make my teeth sensitive), 2 older Oral B models, and the Asda and Boots own-brand electric toothbrushes. I always come back to my 3-mode Oral B because it is the ONLY toothbrush I have found that has a decent 'sensitive' mode, ie. not too strong. I really need this mode for my top front teeth as they are bonded fillings and very prone to cracking. (The sonicare was still too harsh even in 'sensitive' mode).

It's the same as the Professional Care 3000 but was definitely worth it because the new heads are great.

Ok- I am not new to electric toothbrushes, having had an Oral B model before. That one gave years and years of faithful service so as a brand, they last but the battery of my old one has now degraded meaning it frequently and annoyingly now needs recharging. I was therefore pleased to gain a new Oral B model. However, I have found this one very difficult to get to grips with. Or to be more accurate, I am required to wrestle it into submission every time I need to brush my teeth.

On a positive, it leaves the teeth very clean and the bigger brush head seems to do a good cleaning job. My worries that a much bigger brush whirring away in my mouth might be difficult or trigger a gag reflex are foundless. The battery life is excellent and the insistant flashing of the 'low battery light' is good warning to recharge it and impossible to ignore as it kind of looks like its about to go nuclear. No more fizzling out mid brush thanks to this feature as it gives ample warning. Battery lasts a long time too.

However, overall this is a bit like attempting to brush your teeth with an angry rattlesnake- don't you DARE take your eyes off it for one minute or go into typical 'toothbrushing autopilot' (which, lets face it, most of us probably do when we do such a routine grooming ritual) because it will attack!

What I have learnt to tame this beast is
    1. Make sure you wait till its inside your mouth before turning it on (or toothpaste whirls off, glob like into the ether)
    2. If you value your clothing and the surrounding environs, make sure you brush the front teeth (upper and lower)right at the start of your brushing before it gets a chance to whip the toothpaste in your mouth into an uncontrollable frothing mass.

I'm really impressed with this. If you've used a Braun electric toothbrush before you might think you know what to expect, and this isn't too different from the 'standard' versions.

The big difference though is the new heads. These are closer in shape to a traditional toothbrush and are much nicer to use. They're much bigger, and softer and you can use them more like a traditional one, in that you can actually BRUSH, rather than just hold it in place while the head does the work. The tip overlaps your back teeth to get right into the awkward spaces, and it's just much more satisfying to use.
However, you could just fit the new heads to your old Braun brush, as they do fit and they do work. (I checked with my old one)

So, is this brush worth an upgrade? Well...for 100 pounds no. That's crazy money for a toothbrush. For 50pounds (as they are at the time of writing) then yes. You have three brush modes, cycled through on the press of the power button. Mode one is full bore mode. The brush will go full speed and it's the one I think most people will use most of the time. Mode two is the same as mode one, but slower and might be good if you have a sensitive area to avoid. Mode three starts slow and then ramps up to full speed in a sort of pulsing motion. This is more of a gimick, as it doesn't seem to do very much.

There is a red light on the body, which lights up if you push too hard on the brush. Surprisingly useful - my older braun was supposed to have this feature and indicated it by changing the tone of the 'whhirrrr' the brush made. I could never tell the difference. The light is much better, and you can see it even without using a mirror.
