Great projector - it works straight from the box. However I think it is really poor that no lens cap was included - it is really an essential item and a pain in the neck for the average user to track down the right item elsewhere. (I suggest looking up standard camera lens caps at the right diameter). Same applies to the absence of a VGA cable and user manual.

Opened the box, set it up, turned on the laptop, and BINGO - working first time. Great picture just on the wall and can't wait to see it on a screen. There was no video lead, but there again it isn't advertised with one, so why others have moaned about this is beyond me. Only minor criticism is no full manual or disc, so had to download that from Optoma site.

Optoma DS316L review
Good product at a very good price. Lacks some of the features of more expensive models (manual zoom and focus for example). Quiet and bright.
