Ultimate 3D Projection Solution

Full 3D, HD Ready

With direct support for Blu-ray 3D™ players, 3D broadcast signals like Sky3D and 3D games from the Sony® PS3 and Microsoft Xbox 360; the GT750 generates greater than 300” 3D projected images to create an experience that is not possible with the smaller screen of a 3D TV. Larger images will fill your peripheral vision, emphasising the effect of 3D and maintaining the utmost image clarity with a 720p resolution.

3D Movies, 3D Gaming, 3D Sport
Compatible with Blu-ray 3D™, Sky3D and 3D Sony® PS3 and Microsoft Xbox 360

Huge Images in Small Spaces

With the advent of motion controlled gaming from the Playstation®3 Move, Xbox 360 Kinect and the Nintendo Wii, gamers need to be on their feet more than ever. This may have been a problem in the past, as some projectors were positioned behind the player causing an on-screen shadow.

The GT750 has a “short-throw” lens, which means you can get up to a 120” image from less than 2 metres away from the screen or wall. Having the projector closer to the screen leaves more space to move around when playing the Nintendo Wii, Xbox Kinect and PlayStation®3 Move and eliminates the shadow that might have made your motion-controlled gaming impossible. Motion-controlled gaming aside, having a short throw lens also allows you to watch films and sport in rooms that would have previously not been able to facilitate a large projected image size.

Large images in small spaces
120" images from less than 2m away from your screen or wall

3D Movies, 3D Gaming, 3D Sports

3D setup is simple with the GT750. There are no additional 3D adapters required to produce a 3D display, as Full 3D technology is built into the unit as standard. You will however need a 3D source and some 3D content, for example: Sony® PS3 with 3D firmware downloaded and a 3D game.

Once these are all powered up you simply connect the source to the projector via HDMI cable. Optoma recommend using “High speed” HDMI cables, the quality of the 3D image produced may depend on the length and quality of a HDMI cable. Once this is complete, you simply switch on a pair of Optoma DLP® LinkTM 3D Glasses – which are sold separately.

3D content for films, gaming and sport has now started increasing, but it has also started improving. More 3D football broadcasts appear every season and the camera angles now in place maximise perspective and show a true to life depth within the stadium – the next best thing to actually being in the stands.

As for gaming, turning 3D was a natural progression; immersing the gamer has always been the main objective for any game developer and now with the major console manufacturers on board, even the biggest titles in the gaming world will be supporting 3D. Likewise for film producers, the popularity of 3D films in the cinema is increasing and so is the amount of 3D Blu-ray™ discs. The GT750 allows you to enjoy the same jaw-dropping 3D cinema experience in the comfort of your own home, now in fantastic High Definition.

Digital connectivity - 2x HDMI
Easy to connect, 3D straight from source

Thumping Audio

Powerful 10 Watt stereo speakers are built into the GT750, which make spontaneous film screenings and gaming sessions either at home, or at a friend’s house really convenient; extremely portable in comparison to other AV solutions. Though, you’re not limited to 10W, with an Audio Out connection you can hook the GT750 up to a subwoofer and add that extra bass, essential for replicating a cinema experience.

All-in-one solution with sound included
No need for additional audio, 10W speakers built-in

For use in ambient lighting

The GT750 has 3500 ANSI lumens of brightness providing enough light for a gaming session in a room with ambient lighting. Designed to be used in the same way as your conventional TV, the high brightness of the GT750 can be used for television and film watching on a frequent basis, providing detailed images at 3000:1 contrast ratio.

About DLP®

Unlike competing technologies, DLP® from Texas Instruments uses millions of tiny mirrors to maximise the available light output, while the inherent speed and high ANSI contrast work simultaneously; eliminating crosstalk, to create a vivid and compelling 3D experience.

It took me a while to decide to get this as it was my first projector, im glad i did as i am very pleased.

After taking a week to clear a wall I set it up about 2.1m away and plugged it into my main computer i got a fantastically large screen, i played a couple of games (skyrim, portal 2) and they looked great they really make it a great experience.

i watched some HD films and they really do look great, just like you are at the cinema, they are beautiful. in my opinion this is where it really shines, to me it feels like i am at the cinema and that is exactly what i wanted when i bought this as i do love movies.

Fan noise is non-existent on ECO mode, it is barely a whisper. its easy to configure. My major concern was that a lot of reviews said that the blacks were quite washed out but i found that if you change the color space on the projector it fix's that. its easily useable in daylight and its throw distance is perfect for small rooms. im projecting on a grey wall and it still looks great and natural.

I have yet to set it up properly as its just on my desk at the moment. i will ceiling mount it, get a nice screen and wire it in properly to my HTPC at some point soon.

Overall this is a really great projector and 720p is great, i find it better than my 1080p 40" samsung in experience even on a grey wall, i have yet to try the 3D but im looking forward to getting some glasses and trying it out. i really do recommend it to anyone that wants this projector as a budget home theatre projector or anyone that wants to play games, once its set up its awesome, if anyone has any questions about it i would be happy to answer them.

I just got my projector and I am very impressed. It plugged directly into the PS3 and i was playing Call of duty black ops in 3d (I bought the glasses seperately). The 2d picture for watching blu rays and DVDs is also excellent. My 11 year old son was particularly impressed and i have earned some cool points.

I had looked at a number of options for my move to 3D gaming. TV's where just too small to be immersive. The other projector options all had limitations. They either lacked the necessary HDMI imputs (my AV receiver just pre dates 3d support becoming standard) or involved multiple components and therefore cost.

The short throw nature of this projector meant I could get alot larger screen in the attic room with 3 sloping walls than i would have been otherwise been able to accomplish. It also as suggested on the market blurb means i can add a PS3 Move or Xbox Kinnect to the kids xmass list if they want one.

There is one important factor you need to consider is that it lacks zoom so you screen size depends on where you place the projector relative to viewing screen. I mounted it on the roof with seperately purchased projector mount about 5 ft from my one flat wall and have a 98 inch screen. The projector is relatively light so there where no weight concerns.

I am very happy with my purchase. The picture is bright and viewable even in day light. The fan noise is easily drown out by the game and movie noise and I have never noticed it as intrusive. Note when you switch the projectore off the fan goes into overdrive for about 5 seconds. The internal speakers are adequate and sound ok.

I did not buy from amazon as they did not sell this projector when i decided to buy. The best price given was the same as the deal I got elsewhere.

The Optoma GT750 is the best projector i have used so far. The screen can be boosted all the way up to 120" and more. I basically bought this for my PS3 and it was worth it best buy i have made. its not only good for Games but i was watching The avangers on bluray and it was crystal clear. I havent bought a screen yet (Probably won't)and my wall is cream white not white so i expect the quality to get better but to be honest its still great on this same Wall so here are the Prons and Cons
Lens Cover is not well designed regulary detaches
Hot air from fan will heat up a small room (Just open the window or turn on your cooling system)

Short throw tech will alow you to have a large screen even if projector is near the wall - good for Move, and Wii games
Thanmping Stereo sound no need for speakers (Unless you have 5.1 home thatre system :))
2 HDMI ports
VGA Port
S-video port
Complete Av Ports (Video, Audio Left and right)
Small Carring bag
A pair of 3D DLP Glasses
Very Portable - you can take it to a friends place with no hustle
Best of all it's Full 3D not compatible i.e you dont need any other device to connect your 3D device to then to the projector all connections just need to go straight to the GT750

The PS3 recognises the Highest picture quallity as 1080p(3D even though it says 720 on the box. Killzone 3 in 3D is awesome on this machine.

NOTE: the above review is based on the default settings i havent tinkered with them yet as they are ok for me.

Best Machine dont waste time if you want a cimema felling at home or on the go then get this is worth it at this price. Strongly Recomend
