4.0 out of 5 stars Overall a good book 30 July 2014

Format:Kindle Edition
Since trading in a volatile market is risky, I decided to get this ebook. After reading it, I felt more knowledgeable and prepared to execute the option trading strategies when the market is volatile. The basics of the volatile option strategies was introduced in Chapter 2, which focused on the duo-directional profits and how to take advantage of it. I like the way the writer briefly yet concisely explained the various strategies in Chapters 4-8. One point to note though, the examples for the strategies lacked pictorial diagrams/representation which made them less easy to fully understand.
5.0 out of 5 stars HOW TO TRADE IN A VOLATILE MARKET 22 Aug. 2014

Investors need to be aware of the potential risks during a volatile market. Choosing to stay invested can be a great option if you're confident in your strategy. If, however, you do decide to trade in a volatile market, do your homework and develop a strategy that has the potential to make a profit regardless of whether the price goes up or down. Volatile markets often occur when earnings statements and other financial reports are released so traders will evaluate their strategies and adjust according to their own point of view and the level of risk they are willing to take. James again does a great job of writing in this book but this time I have to agree that you should be familiar with all the terminology as it gets more complicated in this type of market condition. None the less it is an informative read!
5.0 out of 5 stars New Options Content 13 Sept. 2014

I like the fact that options are used in a volatile market to help you make profits whether the market goes up or down. It's always tricky trying to figure out where to place at the money and out of the money strike price to benefit in the end. Personally, I concern volatility in the market makes things a little more interesting and also helps to level the playing ground amongst traders. There is plenty of new information in this book and it's worth a read.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Simple Explanations 28 July 2014

Not for the beginner, but not for the expert either, this guide gives depth to the basics of developing strategies for trading in a sideways market. The key seems to be learning the best time to use them and the risks involved, which is explained very clearly. I have always been confused between the Long and the Strap Straddle…so glad I bought this book, just simple enough to get the gist of it without making it too complicated.
5.0 out of 5 stars A very good book. Insightful and informative 27 Oct. 2014

A very good book. Insightful and informative, what I like best about this book is it took the time to explain the terms. Many books about options trading are long on words yet short on explanations. When a book is long on jargon, it makes for difficult reading. Even though most of these books come with the standard disclaimer, I feel comfortable with the definitions and guidance provided by this book.
