1.0 out of 5 stars Too Basic 13 Feb 2014
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
I feel the book is very basic in nature. First four chapters get into a basic of other things which other books may already cover in detail. The other grudge I had is not using live examples. i.e. Trades conducted by the author himself or recommended to readers or friends during his trading career. Overall, disappointed with the price of book against the delivered content, because the basic stuff can be looked from CBOE website itself.

4.0 out of 5 stars Options Made Easy - A Review 30 Jun 2013
By E-man - Published on Amazon.com
I really enjoyed this book - the beginning gently brought the reader into the options world with handy pictures of risk profiles. The examples, although not completely exhaustive, showed the psychology, methodology, etc. as well as supportive charts about Greeks and Risk Profiles as you read an example. I've traded a butterfly and condor with confidence after reading this book. Various spread trades were also shown which were helpful. I would recommend the options play book as well apart from this book. Appendix covered a lot where there wasn't an example. All in all this is a great book to start with for options. My interest now is heading toward technical analysis. Many brokerage firms offer 2 major tools for option trader - profit calculator and chart, as well as probability spectrum for trade potential.

2.0 out of 5 stars Warning: Upsell 30 July 2013
By Mike Cleveland - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The book is designed to sell you the monthly membership in several other websites. The author has created a "special indicator" that is only available for those who sign up to the membership of his additional websites. This is marketing and upsell at its "finest." Other than the upsell, which is constant all the way throughout the book, the book itself is ok, though you must prepare to be tried to buy the membership of the other websites when you read this book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good basic book but many errors 11 July 2013
By John E. Van Kirk - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
This is a good starter book. However this is the 3rd edition and to have many errors, or any errors at all in a 3rd edition is unacceptable. Even more so in a financial area where errors can cost a lot of money.

Kept wondering if it was meticulously proofread, or if so, the editor didn't understand all the tricky nuances of options trading.
Wouldn't recommend it for anyone trying to understand the theory and consequences of Options trading.
4.0 out of 5 stars Provides basics of options clearly 17 April 2014
By Vox Mortem - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
A good beginners book. I learned enough to be dangerous to myself. Knowing what options are and how to execute their trade is not enough to play the game. It's like knowing the fundamentals of poker and being placed at a high-roller table in Vegas. You really need a class and a mentor to play this game.
4.0 out of 5 stars Book is full of information, but the charts are hard to read on my Kindle. 3 Mar 2014
By James Fields - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Book is full of information, but the charts are hard to read on my Kindle. I would probably suggest you buy it in hard copy form.
