5.0 out of 5 stars Light and compact just right for one person. 7 Mar 2013

Very light and compact, can just fold a boil in a bag meal in to the pot and makes a quick brew and meal, but requires a wind guard!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but with some catches 3 Oct 2011

Ok so I bought this trying to replace the outdated pans and outdated stove I have. Here is what I have realized so far.

-unit runs beautifully and even with one 230gram fuel canister is very light weight.
-pots are a little small for the meals I generally cook (pasta sides with canned chicken or tuna thrown in)
-they say a 4oz/100grams fuel canister will fit in the pot...the issue being I have been to 3 different stores (dicks, bass pro shop, and cabella's) and have yet to be able to find a 4oz/100g fuel canister.
-The directions say that 300grams of fuel will last one person about a week. I was hoping to get better efficiancy out of it as I now have to purchase 2 fuel canisters to make sure I don't run out.
-the fuel needed to run this thing performs poorly in cold weather.
-the fuel canisters are non-refillable.

This would be great for a weekend hiker who takes trips in the summer. I would not recommend it for longer than that as the amount of fuel needed to keep it running takes up too much room.

5.0 out of 5 stars Overall a good value. 21 Aug 2011

As some other users stated, the adjustment on the stove is a bit touchy and requires your attention to be on it (I had to turn up the gas to maintain a steady flame probably 2 - 3 times when boiling a cup of water, and it was about 60 degrees Fahrenheit out) But overall this was not a big deal to me seeing as though you never leave a camp stove burning and walk away anyway. And the price is great, overall a good value and I am happy. I would buy it again if need be.

5.0 out of 5 stars Optimus Crux Lite Solo Cookset and Stove 10 April 2011

Great little stove that is light, packable and boils water quickly. I just used it on a trip along the Benton-MacKaye trail here in Georgia and it performed great. Easy to light, boils water quickly and the small gas cartridges fit into the pots so that the entire stove and cook set is very tiny. Great product!

Supreme quality and durability!!! I have used this up at my work (outside security) and have it stowed in my EDC bag. Best quality for the price, cool design and flawless functionality. I am even considering buying multiple sets for my vehicle emergency bag, camping equipment and bugout bag. THE...BEST...SET...EVER... No joke. It gets 6 out of 5 stars LOL! You won't regret this purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice & compact 19 Sep 2013

Decided to go with this vs the jet boil for a more cost effective way of cooking food. Sure it doesn't have the push button fire starter, but will suit my needs.
