This palm strap is exactly what I was looking for. I have a Canon 550D with a 15-85 lens, which feels a bit front-heavy together. Also, walking around with the camera in your hand when your arm is stretched down felt a bit scary with just your finger tops over the camera grip; now it feels secure. The quality is perfect for the money, but the plastic part is a bit crooked. The flap with the logo is actually sewed on, from the pictures I thought it would open with velcrow. Material on the inside is rubbery material. hope it doesn't get sweaty in warmer countries.
With some fiddling, I managed to put the neck strap back on (only works after you put the palm strap on). I made the neck strap as short as possible for over my shoulder, so the camera can be 'hidden' securely between elbow and body. Works even if you have to run a bit.
Tip to make sure straps cannot slip: when putting the strap through the buckle, give the strap half a twist, right in the buckle.

Bought this for my Canon Powershot SX30is and although it does the job providing a good handgrip with plenty of support for stable photo taking the design could do with a little tweak.
When attached, the plastic plate that screws into the tripod fitting (it has another screw fitting so you can still attach a tripod when using the grip) extends past the righthand side of the camera with a small angled ridge to align it with the bottom of the camera. Unfortunately, this ridge spoils the original lines of the grip section on the camera and makes it harder to hold the camera and use the buttons at the same time without moving your grip.
Overall it does give a very secure grip and gives confidence when using it to carry the camera when not taking photos.

I bought this for my wifes Canon 30D as she doesn't like the neckstrap and needed some extra support to hold the camera.
Cheap and chearful looking but well padded strap, not sure if it's real leather but I don't think it matters at this price. There's no instructions how to fit it but it's easy to figure out, obviously the bottem screws to the tripod mount on the camera and just make a loop at the top and feed it back through the buckle.

I liked it so much I've bought another for my 7D.

The neoprene rubber used in the inside of the grip has a terrible rubber smell that won't go away. So bad I can't use the strap.

Does the job, feels secure. My only grip is that has a very rubbery smell that seems to linger, washing it may get rid of the odour.

I purchased the wrist strap and it offers great support and stability when using the camera hand held. It fits on the camera by large nut into the base of the camera. To fit the camera on the tripod, you attach the tripod base plate onto the hand tightened screw. This works fine when using the camera in landscape orientation but is useless for portrait orientation as the hand held screw loosens under the weight of the camera (not a large camera but a mid size DSLR - Nikon D90). Therefore to use with a tripod, the only plausible option is to undo the wrist strap from the camera base and fix the tripod base plate as normal. This renders the product of no great use for anyone who constantly changes from hand held to tripod use.

Comfortable strap, perfect for keeping your DSLR securely to hand when exploring cities, etc.

However the fabric on the padded section began to wear through after a few months of heavy use. The bottom plate also began to warp slightly.

Good product for the price, but will not be on my SLR this summer!
