Product Description

Size Name:(62mm) Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6G

OPTEKA High Definition Filter Kit Advances in high-index / low-dispersion optical glasses, new barrel materials, and exotic anti-reflection coatings, along with the latest in computer-aided-design / computer-aided-manufacturing are combined to produce lenses of unprecedented quality, rather than raising the cost of Opteka filters.
However, these advanced materials and techniques allow more efficient and economical production. The results are filters of remarkable quality and durability at remarkably affordable prices.

Kit includes:

UV Filter - A must for any camera. Penetrates haze, adds warmth, and protects your valuable lens from scratches, dirt, fingerprints, etc. Leave it on your lens at all times.

Polarizing Filter - For shooting in bright sun, at beaches, snow, ect., Controls bright light entering lenses for a better balanced color image, Darkens blue skies and reduces reflections from non-metallic surfaces.

Fluorescent Filter - Reduces the greenish cast common to fluorescent lighting and produces pleasing, natural results, particularly in flesh tones.

Neutral density 4x - ND4 Filter - for use in conditions of extreme light intensity, such as sunshine on snowy mountains or on the beach, or when using a camcorder, ND (Neutral Density) filters are recommended as essential. Neutral Density have several uses and offer the possibility to achieve otherwise unachievable results. ND filters appear gray and reduce the amount of light reaching the film and they have no affect on color balance.

10x Macro lens - Now you can take close-up shots like you never took before, Enables you to get much closer than the minimum focus of the standard camera lens - as close as 4 inches from the subject.

UV filters have no effect on digital cameras. They are used for film cameras as film was effected by UV, your digital sensor is not. If you are thinking i'll use it as a lens cover don't bother as if you have a decent lens in anyway you are going to be putting lower quality glass on the front of it therefore lowering the quality of the lens.

A Flourescent filter is fairly pointless, just sort out your white balance before you start shooting, if you use flash get a cheap set of gels to alter the flash tone.

As yet with, admittedly only a little play, I have failed to focus on anything with the macro filter which makes it utterly useless.

Therefore the only useful filters in the kit are the Polariser and the ND. However if you are looking for budget versions of these two filters there are cheaper kits out there. And if you know what you are doing and have decent glass which you intend to attach these filters to I would recommend buying higher quality individual filters from more reputable brands.

You get what you pay for!

Great set of lens filters for the beginner! Excellent quality and at a very decent price point.
The filters come with a very handy, padded storage case, which has a total of 6 pockets.

I am using these filters on my recently purchased Nikon D3200 with Kit lens and they are great fun to play around with. Some of the lenses provided can totally transform your photographs, I find the polarizing filter most useful. It can help you get amazing photos of the sky and also of water. Especially in rivers or lakes where there is a lot of reflection from the water.

I would encourage any beginner to pick these filters up, they are fun to use and can come in very handy if you plan on taking photographs outdoors.

A great set for the price without a doubt, but ... don't expect the same quality as from, for example, Hoya filters. The 5 filters in this pack don't screw on as smoothly as my Hoyas, and I worry if that will eventually damage the filter thread on my lens?
However, the coatings seem to be fine, and they're made of good quality materials,
When I have the money I will upgrade these.
The 10x macro filter is fun, but can't see that it magnifies 10x!!

Hi All,

When I purchased I assumed that they would be the usual run of the mill filters.
But this is not so they are a superb filter set in there own padded compartment
In a folder and are excelent to use each filter, they are of high quality in a thin mount
and extremely well made.
P.S. I use them on Pentax Cameras.

got these as had little money at the time, and am regretting it now!.
after only a few used the coating has come off the neutral density filter, the polarising filter is as good as useless- it DOES NOTHING!! macro is ok though.
should have waited to have more cash- that'll learn me!! :(

I haven't used all the lenses yet, but love the FREE 10 x macro lens, great for capturing insects and close up shots. The ND4 filter is a good lend for enhancing water features, Wil add when I have used the rest.
