I bought this product after being recommended by a fellow hockey player. Its a stylish design and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The problem I found was in the fitting; I have a large mouth and a molar missing which meant that I just could not get the guard to fit snuggly.
Prior to putting the guard into my mouth to mould it, I ensured the product was perfectly pliable and that I had followed the instructions to the letter, but it just didn't seem to suit the shape of my mouth. The guard remained pliable but retained its shape after being in the hot water and the little stick to help you insert it into your mouth and mould it was a great design feature - saved the usual juggling and burning of fingers!! The gap in my molars meant that whilst the guard remained in place, it easily came loose or fell off with head movement or impact - not so ideal for my needs. In the end I gave up with this and went to the dentist to get one fitted.
As a product though I think if you had a regular sized mouth then it'd be a good purchase as the shock absorptive properties and structure were good and it was easy to mould.
