Sergio Franco's book demonstrates important fundamental concepts of op-amps, which is crucial in the design of analog/digital circuits, and ICs. It should deserve a sixth star if it also comes with answers to selected problems on calculation and design. This is an excellent text for undergrads or working professionals in need of a good op-amp reference.

This book is the best analogue electronics book out there. The concepts have been explained very well and proofs have been worked out in detail. A good book to get a good grounding in analog electronics/op amps.

I study Electronic and Electrical Engineering and this textbook is invaluable. It was recommended by my lecturer, who certainly knows which book to recommend!
It's a very good reference on everything from fundamental principles to much more advanced topics. On the website (link provided with the book) there's a whole host of useful simulations for PSpice, errata and numerous pieces of software to download.

All in all it's a good package, well explained and highly recommended!
