"Operation Good Guys Uncovered" follows the 'crack' undercover team as they take on an ambitious mission to capture one of the world's most wanted criminals. Or at least that is their intention.
Anyone who has seen an episode of the television series will know that when the 'Good Guys' are involved, little ever goes to plan, but then this is what makes the docusoap parody work. The book is narrated from the perspective of a journalist, which helps retain the fly-on-the-wall aspect which made the series so funny.
The book certainly keeps this feel, and while some scenes would perhaps not work on television, they do in print.
The book is a must for any fan of the series, although a newcomer to the 'Good Guys' would perhaps benefit from seeing a few episodes on video first, partly to understand who all the characters are, but also because the series is so good.
