I had already purchased the first Blu-ray Experience DVD and was eager to get this Blu-ray Experience II to compliment it. I was not disappointed. Once again this is a great release by Opus Arte. The content of the DVD is extracts from complete performances of popular opera, ballet and theatre productions. The DVD is intended as a showcase for the complete performances. The quality of the productions is very good indeed. The performances are delightful and engaging just as in the previous Blu-ray Experience DVD. On balance I like the previous DVD better but that is just down to personal preference for the material on it. Overall, Blu-ray Experience II is pleasure to play and is outstanding value for money.

Like another reviewer I too puchased this 2nd sampler having enjoyed the original sampler album. I already own quite a few 'Opus Arte' dvd's and appreciate the high quality of their catalogue. Having viewed this current sampler I just had to purchase 'La fille mal gardee' and the Glyndebourne 'Cosi fan tutte' - both superb performances! And I am so tempted to buy the ballet 'Ondine' which is not a work that was ever on my radar!
And so I have to issue a 'wealth warning' for anyone who purchases this sample. You are bound to end up financially poorer if you buy this disc but you will be immeasurable richer in your enjoyment of these wonderful works. Well done Opus Arte - keep up the good work.

Amazon Verified Purchase
If you can't sit through a whole ballet / opera, this is a must have. It is superb to watch for music, costume, setting etc. and because each piece is individual you can watch for shorter or longer periods. It is absolute enjoyment.

UNUSUAL
The choice of items is strange, and will not appeal to many. For me,it did not compare well with the earlier blue cover sampler. Nor reccomended.
