This is a nice little book it will fit into your gig bag etc. It contains a comprehensive list of tunings and relevant scales, and a brief description of who uses them and for what type of music, well worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Handy and Solid Sourcebook. 27 May 2008

This little tome pretty much has it all (including a good price). I haven't seen any other similar product that does it any better. If you want to wade into alternate tunings -- a good place to start. I keep it as a reference for when I want to try different variations and expand on my standard patterns. Recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb! 17 Mar 2010

Open tunings can be confusing but very rewarding to play. This book is simple cheap and superb! It shows how to tune an open tuning, and four scales: major, minor, major pentatonic, minor pentatonic score and tab. It takes it to utterly simple form, but enhances playability tremendously by taking scale guesswork out with clear diagrams. Gibson Robot owners will benefit tremendously from this book.
