Oor Wullie has never had his own book before, and in Dungarees Book for Boys Wullie reveals his money-making schemes and adventures. This book is very funny. It seems an ideal book for parents/grandparents and things to do with kids from camping, fixing a bike, and how to make a cartie as well as an inside view on Wullie. The book is very beautiful, and a treasure-trove of reading and humour.

This is what we've been looking for. Great things for kids to make by themselves or with a hand from Dad or Grandad - great ideas to get out and about - just like we used to do.
It's is amazing what you can make for yourself and really have some fun.
I think most of us have forgotten that you can actually make things that work ! Kites - glider planes - carties (or guiders depending where you are from). You can make your own sledge and build rafts and boats.
Allsorts that I had a great deal of pleasure looking through - Wullie's pets - worm-catching tips and a great camping section. The musical instruments take me back - including making a grass squealer.
Secret codes ? Remember them ? And making Wullie's Walkie Talkie with two plastic cups and a bit of string ? Paper darts and fortune tellers ?
The all important recipe for Mince & Tatties is there and the whole book is wonderfully illustrated with snapshots of classic Oor Wullie moments.
Great idea - it says on the back "Ma wis tellin me that there wis so much in ma heid that it wis near tae burstin' so I got tae thinkin' that I'd better get it a' oot ma heid and write it doon in a book".
I'm glad he did. The book is magic. Whether you are 6 or 66 you'll enjoy this!
