About the Author
John Tompkins, age 49, is a bipedal carbon -based life form who was born in Williamsport Pennsylvania during the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis to two warring parents and three other siblings. In 1977, the year Elvis died, the Patriarch of the family moved his brood to Danvers Massachusetts, where John had a hard time fitting in with his fellow carbon-based peers. After surviving High School, John attended college at Suffolk University Boston. There he wrote for the school paper, the radio station as well as the Literary Magazine. It was at Suffolk that John discovered his true calling and he started writing fiction. After graduation John, still on two feet, went onto work with the Department of Mental Health in the grand Commonwealth of Massachusetts. There, John had many roles as a Recreational Therapist, Substance abuse group leader, and finally as a case manager where he offers sterling service to the mentally ill of his state. He continues to write and occasionally publish his short fiction in online magazine such as Cynic, One story, Fiction East of the Web and Hack Writers. He has also finished his first novel, The Croydon Vending Machine Company.
