Through the 1980s and 90s the misadventures of Trotters Independent Trading Company were responsible for one of the BBC's best sitcoms, Only Fools and Horses. This "Selection Box" looks back over 15 years of the lives of Del Boy (David Jason) and Rodney (Nicholas Lyndhurst), and features some of their most memorable moments. From passing off TV remote controls as mobile phones, to Del confusing Brief Encounter with Close Encounters of the Third Kind, favourite clips are introduced by Ian Wright, Jeremy Clarkson, Sally Gunnel, Pauline Quirke, Lee Evans, Jack Dee and other celebrities. Topped and tailed by John Challis as Boycie, the tape is entertaining, but as a 29-minute TV special it has a hard time justifying its release as a stand-alone video. This would make an addition to a selection of episodes, but a tape of a complete season would probably give more lasting pleasure.--Gary S. Dalkin

Fifteen years of Trotters Independent Trading earned Del Boy and the gang millions of fans. Among them are the celebrities who take this opportunity to select their favourite Only Fools clips. From the days of Del as a sheepskin-coated market trader, through his yuppie period ("a mobile telephone in one hand and a Pot Noodle in the other") to the brothers' millionaire dream-come-true, they really are spoilt for choice.
We see the special moments that Del and Rodders have shared ("You plonker!"); watch and learn from Del's long list of chat up lines and get to grips with Trotter speak with such gems as "cushty", "dipstick" and "this time next year..." And, no Only Fools collection would be complete without the classic contributions of "Dave" and Del's mate Trigger.
Among the clips chosen are those from the best-loved episodes including the discovery that Boycie is a "jaffa", the Peckham Spring water business, the stolen "Gatwick" satellite disk, the chandelier cleaning and of course, the famous Del Boy wine bar incident. As the great man himself would say: "lovely jubbly!"

Only fools and horses is the funniest piece of British comedy ever and this is the funniest book i have ever read! With the good pictures and illustrations this makes a brilliant read and well worth the money. A best buy..!
