DVD Description

Starring David Jason, Nicholas Lyndhurst and Buster Merryfield with Tessa Peake-Jones and Gwyneth Strong.

No income tax, no VAT and certainly no guarantee of anything but laughs as Del and Rodders hit the high-rise world of inner-city dealing. Trotters Independent Traders Company (TITCO) remain commercially unviable. Del is stuck with 125 unpredictable Latvian radio alarms, the council have rejected his home improvement grant application and Rodders is on a sex programme that would leave Roger Rabbit knackered. But when our fancy-dressed caped crusaders turn street vigilantes, they find being on the right side of the law has its own rewards.

This is the first episode of the 1996 Christmas trilogy, and one of the funniest in the series. The regulars are all on good form. The hilarious Batman and Robin sequence has already been documented in another review. This is followed up soon after by a funny chase sequence between Rodney and one of the muggers, which doesn't quite work out as planned, leaving Del Boy to be the hero of the day. There is also a hilarious dream sequence at the beginning, as Rodney has avision of the future! These Christmas specials were arguably, along with 'The Jolly Boy's Outing,' the funniest of the series, and would have ended the show on a high. I didn't think that the subsequent Christmas trilogy shown from 2001 - 2003 quite achieved the same standard. However, here's a story worth getting. Enjoy it!

This is one of the finest episodes of this top sitcom ever made. The batman and robin scene will make you laugh time and time again. Overall a fitting finale to a fabulous tv series.
