This is a truly weighty tome packed with unseen and rare archival photos of the mighty HELLHAMMER.
This band were much maligned, particularly by the UK Metal press, during their short lifespan. It has probably only been over the last half-decade that even TOM G. WARRIOR himself has ceased to denounce the supreme art that he conceived.
This is a truly essential document of a deservedly legendary band.

It would've been nice to see a bit more analysis of the evolution of their writing style, but they cover well the influences and circumstances that shaped them (make no mistake, this is not a typical 'sex, drugs & rock n roll' bit of worthless literature. It IS an illuminating read). Bound to appeal to any old-school 'head or Hellhammer/Celtic Frost fanatic for the sheer wealth of photos and background stories. Pretty inspiring too to read about just how naive but utterly determined they were back in the early days.

Looking around for this particular item learned that Amazon offered the best price!! If item would be ordered in a Belgian bookshop; the difference would be at least 10 euro!!
