Product Description

Since the Corrections & Clarifications column began in 1997, Ian Mayes has laid bare the Guardian's crimes and misdemeanours, turning them into a daily 'must read'. In Only Correct, he has drawn from the whole of his time as readers' editor to bring together the very best of the paper's howlers. The Guardian is still the only British daily to be so candid about its mistakes, of which some of the best include: In 'The Perils of Loyalty', we referred to "the moral satin of Clinton's career". That should have read "the moral stain".' 'The building illustrating Simon Hoggart's Diary was not Cheltenham Town Hall, as the caption suggested. It was Boots the Chemist.'

No one practices the art of the correction better than The Guardian 28 Feb 2011
By Andy Orrock - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
This excellent book demonstrates how when corrections are done right, they can be an art form in and of themselves. No one practices the art of the correction better than The Guardian. Each entry chosen for inclusion here shows just the right balance of humor and dedication to follow-up journalism. It's a brilliant compilation that will often have you chuckling with delight.
