I also reviewed the micro unit that these speakers match with (the CR-525) which as with these speakers I'm very pleased with. I'm not a hi-fi expert but as most likely with you the person reading this, you will have read advise of avoiding using the manufacturers own speakers. Whilst that may be good advice in many situations and without having tested the CR-525 on different speakers, if it's a shelf size speaker you're looking for I would say you wont be disappointed with buying these. They are well built solid speakers in a nice high gloss design, and after positioning them on my bedroom desktop shelf the sound produced was very pleasing. I listen to bands such as Bat for Lashes, Thom Yorke, Eno - ambient, Bon Iver, plus electronic breaks and progressive house. These speakers (bearing in mind the CR-525 only has tone control and S.Bass to control the sound) produce really good clarity both from the high sounds to the bass. They are punchy and handle well being driven at high volumes. I was really surprised (and happy) with how much bass they produced, I will say I'm sure in part to the alcove I have them positioned in. All in all I would say go for these speakers if you want an easy decision as they do a good job and after all are designed to match the CR-525 unit.

Lovely looking speaker's with high gloss black finish an they look the part with white bass speaker,s rich sound with nice deep bass work's very well with my unit just as described very fast delivery you can't buy better for your money.
