Format:Audio CD
One of the most underated bands in the world. This is beautiful music, voice and lyrics. Charged with emotion but relaxed and americana (from Canada). A fan of Sufjan Stevens or Bonnie 'Prince' Billy will probably appreciate there work. Awesome live.

Those coming to Great Lake Swimmers via their majestic new release - NEW WILD EVERYWHERE - would do well to backtrack and check out another masterpiece, this, their third album which, less jaunty and upbeat than the new album, is filled with so many great and beautiful ballads you would be forgiven for thinking it was a best of cd.
You only need to check out the sublime "Your Rocky Spine" and "Where in the world are you?" to know how good this album is, it is that standard throughout. Recent converts should definitely get this album, it's magic. Those who are new to the band should definitely get the new cd and this too. You won't be disappointed. G L S are a top, though as yet under-rated, band. ESSENTIAL KIT!

Format:Audio CD
The first track alone is worth the price of admission. The rest of the album rolls along at a gentle pace with plenty of warmth and some interesting lyrics. Far from the worst alt-folk album out there.
