NOT the soundtrack! BEWARE

This is NOT the soundtrack to Ong Bak. If you look closely at bottom of the cover image it says something in French that I imagine means "Songs Inspired by the music of Ong Bak." This is a bunch of Rap with backing music similar to the music in Ong Bak. Very very disappointing for someone who hates Rap and wanted the soundtrack to Ong Bak!
Good soundtrack (as long as you know what to expect).

I think this is a pretty solid 4 star soundtrack release. I'm giving it 5 stars to offset the other reviewer who gave it a 1 because it wasn't what he thought he was buying, despite apparently not researching it at all prior to ordering.
For those who don't know, Ong-Bak originally had a Thai-rock style soundtrack/score, but when Luc Besson's production company (EuropaCorp) picked it up for international release, the film was re-scored with a primarily hip-hop inspired soundtrack. This is the version that is represented here, and the version that was distributed to the US. If, perhaps, you saw an import bootleg before the film's official US release, you may not be familiar with this soundtrack. Similarly, if you saw the UK release, it was re-scored once again with an orchestral score. However, if you saw the EuropaCorp official DVD release, these are the songs you heard (plus some others).
I'm not a huge fan of hip hop, but for whatever reason, I seem to like foreign hip-hop more than its American counterpart. Maybe not being able to understand the lyrics actually adds to the experience for me. The songs on here are catchy and well-made. The ones used in the US cut of the film flow well with the action sequences and I think make for an enjoyable soundtrack experience. If you're a fan of Ong-Bak (and you enjoyed the hip-hop songs in the movie), then I think you'll like the soundtrack as well. Worth checking out if you can find a copy. Also, since the Amazon product description only lists the song titles, here's a list of the artists & titles included here:
