Format:Audio CD
I can't stop playing it. The more you hear it the more you find in it. Has a sort of mystical depth to it with an upbeat techno feel to it so its uplifting while at the same time soothing and pensive. There are few tracks that take a theme and build on it with loads going on in the foreground and background, bongo drums, arabic pipes, wailing and singing. best tracks are definately "ehad", "midnight at the bazaar","byzantine", "elokainu", "the merciful one". Everyone I know who's bought it loves it. Its a definate must to have in any quality music collection

A bit theosophic, kinda sophisticated, but still VERY impressive acid-jazz (err?....) Beautiful melodies versus deep-rooted voices. When you're in, you just can't get out. If you'll try it with brilliant "Electric Sufi" from Dhafer Youssef, you'll realise that there's lot of kin b/w Jewish & Arabian sounds. Much more than seems at first look... Maybe it's not the best comparison, but still try it!

I bought this CD on the strength of one track I'd heard on a World Chill album. Always a little risky but I was not disappointed by this album. It's a mix of contemporary dance sounds with middle eastern vocals and sounds great. Big beats, lush orchestration and Moorish/Jewish melodies. A mix of faster dance tracks and laid back chillout songs it is a perfect blend with no poor tracks on the album. I wouldn't compare them to another artist but I normally listen to bands like Faithless, Massive Attack, Leftfield and this sits well alongside their best but is just a little bit different too. Listen to the samples and enjoy.
