'Illicit Needledrop 19 Aug 2009
By Simon D. Jones
Format:Audio CD
Another issue from James Plummer's illicit "Fallout" label for which no royalties were paid.'

The version on this page is the properly licensed RevOla issue, approved by the artist, remastered from the original tapes by Nick Robbins who remastered the Zombies catalog, all royalties paid....and never sounding better!

I'd read this was to be listened to "in the drawing room, sipping perfumed tea" and I can't argue with that. I tend to switch light down low, sink into my armchair and wait from the dreamy 'It's crying outside' to commence, this for me is the higlight, tho' this is an album devoid of a bad track.

This is the sole album from this band led by the aptly named Angel, which has become one of the best-loved folk-rock albums of its era. Recorded in New York and produced by longtime Wendy Carlos collaborator Rachel Elkind, it's a haunting collection of autoharp-led pop songs, boasting strong melodies and powerful electric guitar, but sold poorly on release in 1971, causing the band to splinter.
The cathiest tune on this album is the opener "West" - a simple opening guitar riff accompanied by tamborine burst into a what one could classify as a "rocking tune" certainly more pleasant to the ears that what one tends to hear eminating out of sterios of the boy racers souped up cars that tend to zoom around blaring out nasty throbbing noise at excessive volumes.

One of The Best Folkrock Albums Ever 25 May 2007
By Andersson, Christer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Delicate and melodic baroque soft-rock with a mellow hippie aura. Vocally not unlike the softer moments of the Peanut Butter Conspiracy or Comfortable Chair. Where they came from is unknown, though some of the credits hint at it being recorded in New York City. To be taken in the drawing-room with perfumed tea.

The Good Old Days 19 July 2007

We used to go and see Michaelangelo at coffee houses around the University of Minnesota. They were awesome on person. We have the original album but no place to play it. The CD is a great addition to our collection. My only regret is that they only made the one album. Brings back many, many memories.

Took Me Years To Find This 28 Jun. 2011
By Patrick D. McWilliams - Published on Amazon.com

I first heard of Michaelangelo via a local easy listening AM station which played the instrumental "300 Watt Music Box". The quest to find a copy took me nearly 10 years and led to my becoming a record collector. I recall paying $10 for a mint 45 rpm, backed with another instrumental track "Half a Tap". This, to me, sounds like the quintessential "sign-off" tune for a radio or TV show. I later located the LP. Frankly, the hippie-era lyrics seem outdated, but the instrumental tracks still remain among my all-time favorites. I was glad to obtain a CD with much clearer sound than my old vinyl discs. Think of the vocals as history and the instrumentals as forever.

I have always loved the album. I'm so happy it is available on CD. I would love to see Michaelangelo's music available on karaoke discs. Great music.

great memories 25 May 2012
By Russ - Published on Amazon.com

I was a sophomore in college when I bought this album from a "cut-out" bin - One Voice Many takes me back to those carefree days - I gave away my vinyl copy back in the '80s to another fan, thinking that it wouldn't be difficult to find a copy on CD... 20 years later it finally happens. I'm often disappointed when I re-visit long-lost favorite albums. One Voice Many does not disappoint - it's as lovely as I remember.
