DVD Description

As One Tree Hill continues to grow and break new ground, the show enters its eighth season with more than 150 episodes under its belt. And the best is yet to come. This season finds Brooke Davis (series star Sophia Bush) happier than ever. Recently engaged to Julian Baker (series star Austin Nichols), her wedding will be the captivating affair one might expect from a young, beautiful, successful fashion designer. As Nathan Scott (series star James Lafferty) prepares for his second season in the NBA, the Scott family is expecting their second child and Haley (series star Bethany Joy Galeotti) feels as though the baby will be a girl. How will she balance her pregnancy while raising Jamie (series star Jackson Brundage) and pursuing her music career? Also, the lives of Quinn (series star Shantel Vansanten) and Clay (series star Robert Buckley) hang in the balance, the result of a brutal attack by Katie (recurring guest star Amanda Schull--Pretty Little Liars, Sorority Wars), which affects all of their friends and family.

Season Eight ! :D 13 April 2011
By Jon
Format:DVD
I am watching Season 8 online because i am a die-hard ONE TREE HILL fan :L. I am inlove with season 8 & the series. Its my life ! , i think the UK fans will not be disappointed with what Mark & the cast have produced this year. I am not wanting to spoil it for everyone , but my favourite episode is episode 13 (Brooke's Wedding, shes my favourite character!). The opening credits have returned ! with different people covering it every week. I LOVE this show & actually wrote a letter to Mark Schwahn telling him how much i love the show & 3 months later i got an envolope with a signed cast picture & a card saying " all the best to you - Mark Schwahn". It made my day! :L . This season is AMAZING & will definetly be pre-ordering & the countdown for the E4 air-date has started ! (When Glee starts). i LOOOOOVE ONE TREE HILL ! :D

OTH8: A Solid Season 18 Jan 2012
By Quinn
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
I've had reservations about One Tree Hill since Lucas and Peyton departed in season 6 as I wondered how the show would cope without them. I've been a fan since the very beginning so it's good to see another solid season that shifts the focus onto other characters such as Brook, Hayley and Alex. The misdirect of the first episode felt overly romantic but fortunately the drama resumes quickly with certain characters fighting for their lives. All the characters develop well over the course of season 8 - there's pregnancies, accidents, a wedding, the dreaded mother-in-law, careers ending and beginning, love triangles and even Millie clucking in a chicken suit. The mid-season finale was certainly a highlight and overall the season fairs well against previous ones with a good balance of different storylines and humour. There are a few cheesy moments along the way such as the cringeworthy superhero episode and the toaster-pastry product placement but I don't think I'll be the only one feeling sad when season 9 rolls around and it's time to say goodbye to this odd, lovely bunch of characters.

Let me start off by saying that when you've been watching a series for a long time and followed each season to their bitter end, it is kinda hard to dislike any season that is produced; you soon become an addicted fan who can't get enough! However you do find yourself picking up on the flaws. I admit that I'm a true One Tree Hill fan and always have been and I've loved every season, however personally, since the disappearance of characters Lucas & Peyton, One Tree Hill hasn't exactly been the same. Then again both Season 7 & 8 have still been a great success. I think that true fans of the series will agree with me when I say you can't review this product if you haven't been following the series or been passionate about the series. If you're jumping into the series and watching it in no particular order then you're bound to give this season doubts and a unfair review, however watchers that have been following since day one will have greater knowledge and give it a fair review. So when reading up on reviews, just be aware of who's review you're reading.
One Tree Hill in my eyes should have ended at Season 6, but I couldn't help myself falling in love with this season and the one before. In both Season 7 & 8 I believe that there is less drama going on and the producers are coming up with not stupid but not as traditional One Tree Hill story lines; its like they're on their last legs of the series but trying to fight to carry the show on. I have also picked up on the fact that the producers are trying too hard to make the season funny, however it just makes the episode look witty and unconvincing. The ending of this season is a bit weak and you feel that producers are trying to create an image that has already been created, to which they should have left alone. Those are my only negatives of the season, however I don't want these negatives to put you off the season because this season is excellent and I feel that there is more emotion, especially in this season.

Anyway, for those viewers who think of purchasing this season, be sure you have watched all the other seasons because it is definitely worth it and from just watching Season 1, you'll fall in love with the series. One Tree Hill is an excellent and personally the best drama I've come across and there is very little to be disappointed about. I know some readers won't agree with some of the points I've made but I'm just being honest from my point of view.

OK
I enjoyed this season a lot, although it didn't bring the drama like usual. It was enjoyable and it was nice to see everyone happy.

My only criticism is to Warner Bros. Read more
