More About the Author

Diana Oaks is the third of eight children. She grew up in a large and loving home with all of the hi-jinx one would expect with six brothers in the house. Diana has been married to her husband Adam since 1982, and is a mother of three adult children, who are now making her a happy "Nana."

Her debut novel, One Thread Pulled: The Dance with Mr. Darcy, was released on August 14, 2012. She began writing it at the end of 2010, when the economic downturn resulted in a severe cutback in her work hours. The story developed a large online following prior to publication in print and eBook format, which were posted under the pen names "Artemis Acorn" and "fiveoaks." She is currently writing the sequel under the working title, "Constant as the Sun."

Her dream is to use the proceeds from her writing to travel to England to visit the land of her ancestors and do a Jane Austen tour.

Diana currently resides with her husband in Salt Lake City, Utah

If you are a Pride and Prejudice fan, but want to see your beloved characters tackle a slightly different world, pick up this book. This book is enchanting. The characters are well rounded and true to Miss Austen's original sketchings; the prose effortless, satirical, and downright hilarious in places - in every way engaging.

The only disappointing thing about this book is that it is clearly set up for a sequel, which hasn't been published yet!

A wonderful read, which had me hooked throughout the book! Mr. Darcy is wonderful while he and Elizabeth falls deeper in love through the book. A scheming Mr. Collins and Mrs. Bennet, an unfair Mr. Bennet and a true gentleman Darcy and a still witty and honest Elizabeth!
Diana Oaks has her readers hooked from pretty much page 1 and the ending annoyed me to no end since it really makes sure that the reader is desperate for more, but it still makes sure to hint that there will be a second book, which I can't wait to get my hands on!
Mr. Darcy asks for Mr. Bennets blessing on Elizabeth's and his marriage, and gets the answer that they have to court for a year while they are in London, so Elizabeth knows what she is getting herself into with marriage to Fitzwilliam Darcy! As Darcy and Elizabeth makes it to London, the book ends. Speaking of annoying, but it is a wonderful and brilliant read. It is so strongly written, and the characters stand out as real. Job well done, Diana Oaks!

Good book, recommended to all Elizabeth and Darcy fans! Easy read, interesting story and believable characters. It is a bit silly at the moments, i have to admit, and Elizabeth seems less intelligent than originally, but hey! No one writes like Austen;)

Promising start, good middle but got very silly towards the end, probably due to the publishing company wanting to stretch the story over two books. It's all about the Benjamin's baby...
