I have recently re-read this wonderful book. Libby`s descriptions of her voyage round Britain with her young family are completely absorbing, you feel you are there with her, riding the waves, scaling piers and meeting the many local characters they come across. As someone who has been sailing with small children I feel she is gives a very realistic view on it's highs and lows.

This book is a great read, well written and a well observed and funny account of a family's sailing jouney around Britain.

4.0 out of 5 stars Family life at very close quarters 19 Jun 2013

I enjoyed the honest account of family life and strife resulting from the ambition to sail around Britain with a young family. I admire Libby and her husband for fulfilling their objective and enjoyed the description of their ports of call and anchorages. It is all so different these days - only a relatively few years later, but so different in terms of communications and facilities.
