Book Description

1 Sep 2004
One snowy Christmas a little hedgehog wakes from his deep winter sleep. He's cold - much too cold to go back to sleep. What a treat, then, to be given a snug, woolly red hat from Father Christmas. But no matter how much Little Hedgehog stretches it, his prickles get in the way every time!

5.0 out of 5 stars The slightly different Christmas book 22 Jan 2005
Wonderfully illustrated pages with big, clear pictures - ideal for younger children. The bright-red soft-to-touch hat leads through the book and draws attention to each page. The four animal characters are cute to look at and show a loving heart for their friend. The happy end is just what children like in a Christmas book. The message is clear: the present is not the main thing but friendship and that nobody should be without a friend at Christmas. I use it in my Englishlessons with great success!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Book 16 Oct 2004
By A Customer
This is a really beautiful book in so many ways. The story is really lovely and centres around a red woolly hat that is given to hedgehog by Santa. It doesn't fit around hedgehog's spikes so he gives it to his friend rabbit. I won't spoil the story but, take it from me, it is heartwarming.
The illustrations are gorgeous - something that is so important for these types of books. However, the best bit is that the hat is "touchy feely" so that wherever it appears thoughout the book it is fuzzy to the touch.
I can't rave on enough about this book. Fantastic!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful 15 Jan 2013

My children and I love reading this, another lovely book about the cute hedgehog in winter. His little red hat is soft to touch in the book. The images are bright and bold. Wonderful little story, which after a couple of reads, my 2yr old daughter now likes to read me the pictures.
