5.0 out of 5 stars Ah, now I know what I was missing... 29 Nov. 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I must be the only person reviewing who hadn't realised that this was a sequel to One Perfect Summer. In my defence I've never read Paige Toon before, and hadn't seen these reviews because I downloaded this from another book page - so now I know why I was left feeling that I'd missed something while reading One Perfect Christmas. That makes everything clearer. Setting aside my slight confusion at times, I loved this long story - such a warm and engaging style. I genuinely kept expecting something dire to happen which kept me reading ... lovely story, would definitely read Paige Toon again, as I now have a thirst for a much longer book from her.

3.0 out of 5 stars A happy ending but.... 10 Dec. 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I'd loved all of Paige Toon's previous books, so eagerly downloaded this when I finished One Perfect Summer when delayed at the airport. I got my expected happy ending, but it just felt a bit routine, without much in the way of the twists and turns we usually get. Sadly, not the level of diversion from the delayed flight I'd hoped for.

2.0 out of 5 stars As disappointing as One Perfect Summer 17 Mar. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Paige Toon is very talented and can make a sequel real well! She has proven that in a few of her other books. This one though is not nearly as good as her other sequels. I guess the fact that I wasn't very excited about One Perfect Summer was the reason One Perfect Christmas disappointed me. Why would she make it into 2 books anyway? Why not make one bigger book and add the 40 pages in that one? is my question! It's not about the money really, it was the fact that after the book ended (finally) if you were really curious to see what happened you had to download this ebook only to be more disappointed even more...

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely but too short 16 Feb. 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Lukas or Joe? Joe or Lukas?

Well, it’s Joe of course. One year has passed and we’re at Jessie’s and Emily’s wedding. Alice is a bridesmaid and now lives in a big house outside of Cambridge. It’s their house, although Joe is barley there, because he has to work all the time. Alice misses him so much. She can’t wait to see him again and she doesn’t have to... He is there, in the church, she can’t believe it. His piercing green eyes are staring at her. He has a beard, but probably just as a disguise. She can barley concentrate. Finally after the ceremony she falls into his arms. They can’t wait to get back to their house...

What will happen next in their relation ship? Is Alice divorced? What about Lukas?

We can read about how hard it was for Lukas and that he tried to fight for Alice. Alice’s heart was with Joe all the time and even Lukas realised that. However, it is hard for Alice too, with Joe being an actor and famous. When Alice isn’t comfortable with him filming sex scenes all the time, he decides not to do that for a while and he tries to convince her to go public about their relationship. They can’t hide forever.
What will she decide?
She takes him ponding and kiss passionately. Will someone see? Find out ...

I was so happy to read about the two of them again. They just belong together and their little Christmas is perfect and soooo romantic. ♥

5.0 out of 5 stars One Perfect Christmas story 12 Dec. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
One Perfect Christmas sees the continuation of Alice and Joe's story from One Perfect Summer. Seeing characters from Paige's other novels is common - if you want to know what Paige has to say about her characters appearing in more than one novel then check out her interview from earlier this year. Don't worry if you haven't read One Perfect Summer though because Paige gives you a quick catch up on the basics throughout.

Alice and Joe are about to spend their first Christmas together as a couple. But being part of a celebrity couple comes with its own problems, anonymity being one of their biggest challenges.

I really liked both Alice and Joe when they appeared in One Perfect Summer and although this is only a short story they are easy to like, or in my case, remember why you liked them in the first place. Joe appears to be incredibly handsome and his feelings for Alice are quite clear. Her own concerns about their relationship are explored throughout and the contrast between their relationship and that of their friends who get married at the start of the story is quite apparent.

If you've enjoyed Paige's novels before then I would definitely recommend this feel good, Christmassy short, packed with romance.

2.0 out of 5 stars Too Short 18 Dec. 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I bought this book after reading One Perfect Summer and was so excited for this one to follow on the story. Just as I thought the book was about to start that was the End of the story. Paige Toon is a brilliant writer and I have read all her other books. I recommend her other books but this one should have been the final chapter of One Perfect Summer instead of a whole other book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Loved every Paige Toon book, but......... 20 Feb. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Firstly, I want to say that I am actually Paige's biggest fan, and, have loved every book she's ever written and, I still loved this, but.... it's clearly the out -takes from One Perfect Summer,, which is fine, but I was so disappointed that it finished,so abruptly I had to go back and make sure I hadn't missed any pages! It's short!
