Enjoyed this asit was a personal account of a man who went his own way and lived his dream. As it was written almost on a
day to day experience you got a real feel of how life was like, how the weather was and how he enjoyed his lifestyle, so simple as it was. Also he showed some lovely turns of phrase, would like to read more of his works, if there is any ? Very practical for anyone also who would like to do a self build.

This is a wonderful, heart-warming story of one man making a life for himself in Alaska. You become very involved in his daily routines, his observations of life. His attitude about everything is so positive, it lifts you. I was sad when the book finished. Read this book and be blessed.

I LOVED this book. I wasn't sure if it was a book I'd finish before I started to read it when I realised it was a day to day account of one man's progress towards the building of a cabin, plus all the accoutriments required and day to day experiences throughout the seasons, to realise a dream of living alone in the wildersness of Alaska. Once I started it however I was HOOKED. What also came through was the 'measure of the man, which was inspirational, his joys and his quiet strength of character. 'One Mans Wilderness' will never be 'passed on'. Like 'North to the Night', it will be 'lent' only to people I trust to return it.
