Book Description

Set in New Zealand, in the beautiful Turakina Valley, near the rural town of Marton, in the lower North Island of New Zealand. This is a tale of one young woman, on the run with her child, from a brutal relationship. She is exhausted, broke, hungry and desperate. Then she meets Craig Rogers, a man with a powerful dream. Dare she believe she can start a new life with her boy and leave her past behind her? Will her heart be lost to the enigmatic Rogers, fifteen years her senior, or will the muscular young farmer who lives nearby win her heart? Torn between the two men who love her, which way will she fall?

This a review on Goodreads
Beautifully written, bittersweet, realistic romantic story. I love the use of the landscape to build a lush atmosphere. I liked the characters, too. This is a story about complex adult relationships. Powerful ending. I recommend this rewarding read.

More About the Author

Hi, everyone. Nice to meet you all. I so appreciate the interest you have in my books and all the nice reviews. (The Songs of Angels isn't one of my books, by the way. That's another Gary Weston).
The "Craggy" books seem to be popular. Perhaps my British humour in them goes down well. When I think of Craggy, I see David Jason, Del Boy himself. I'd love to see him in a film version. David???
Starlight Army is set in the Midlands, and although fiction, is about real people. They do a lot of work for the P D S A and proceeds from that book go to that charity. More of a young adult sort of book.
A little about me. I am from the West Midlands of England, but now live in a small, rural town in New Zealand. I have my dog Minnie for company. If I hit a plot hole, I take her for a walkies and it sorts itself out.
I was never going to write science fiction, but having found space opera, I write a lot of it.
Other books, such as the Dusty Miller series, is set in New Zealand, so the places are as described. Same for One Man's Dream. The place Craig Rogers builds his home is real.
That's about it for now. Thank you for reading my books and I look forward to writing many more for you. Gary Weston
