One Love, a remastered retrospective of Bob Marley's major-label work completed before his 1980 death from cancer, may well replace Legend as the bestselling reggae album of all time. One Love is 20 cuts to Legend's 16, a set that plays in chronological order of release as opposed to party mix. As with the latter, One Love presents the sweet organ-driven and feedback-scarred live version of "No Woman, No Cry" as well as album versions of classics like "I Shot the Sheriff", "Get Up, Stand Up", and "Jamming". Single versions of "Buffalo Soldier" and "Exodus" sidle up to the full-band cut of "Redemption Song" and the soulful Marley/Curtis Mayfield medley, "One Love/People Get Ready". A fine sampler of the Tuff Gong years from 1972's Catch a Fire and onward, One Love is aimed at the casual Marley fan rather than the hardcore completist. Being a big fan of reggae and ska I knew I had to buy this album. It is fantastic! From the great "Stir It Up" to the new (and previously unreleased) single "I Know A Place" this album delivers. It the perfect summer soundtrack with it's laid back reggae grooves. Buy it!

The ablum has all the great songs that you could ask for. If you have been searching, like I have for a Bob Marley CD that has all the songs that everybody knows as well as other classics that mainly Bob Marley fans will know, then buy this CD. It's some of the best reggae every to come off of the island of Jamacia. The album gets you in the mood for the hot summer when you are driving along with the window down and the music playing loud. You will enjoy this CD, it's great.

Some great tracks on this CD, some real classics and some less well known gems. You need it in your life people!!

yo man!
you just have to love Bob marley. this cd does have a selection that is not always found on other discs.all on the one disc.
