This film is made up from various parts of Sir David Attenborough's recent documentory 'Life' though he does not narrate this film, instead Daniel Craig of all people has taken over here.

Incase anybody was thinking this was an entirely new Nature documentory, it isnt. Though for the price, its not too bad.

as a big fan of BBC documentaries on Blu-ray, was really looking forward to this.
But there is nothing new here. everything is taken from the LIFE series that was released previously on Blu-ray (which is one of the best BBC documentaries i have ever seen btw)
so in other words, its nothing but a " "best of" Life series.
the only reason i am not returning this is because there are some very cool, never seen before extras, (BlueJean frog and the gorillas etc)
if you own LIFE on Blu-ray, then don't bother buying this.

Well worth a watch and perfect for the whole family, whether at Christmas or just on a normal night in. The footage, as you would expect, is breathtakingly beautiful and it would be unfathomable that so many stunning and miraculous creatures and events really exist on this planet if they weren't so well documented on screen in `One Life'.

Although not narrated by the living legend that is Sir David Attenborough, Daniel Craig adds a different dimension that is by no means a negative; he brings with him an added element of humour and easy understood narration suitable for children without being patronising (and infuriating the adults in the room!!). Although some footage may have been seen before in various programmes on BBC TV, `One Life' puts together all the best bits in this comprehensive documentary, showing through stunning visuals and amazing footage that every'thing' has `One Life'.

`One Life' is simply perfect and full of so many `WOW' moments that leave you in wide-eyed astonishment. A must buy.

I already own Life, so why get this? Well I can't get bored of nature, and this is a good one evening pick me up, when needed, the photography is superb, and the narration is fine, although my gut instinct is to prefer an naturalist over an actor, but this works fine. But the music! I actually like some of it, but please can't we just have the narration and the sounds of nature!

I am not a huge fan of Daniel Craig, but do like wildlife films. However, after renting this title from Love Film I was so blown away by it I had to buy it. It's a masterpiece and, er, even Mr Craig's narrative is excellent!
The photography is stunning, the script is understated, giving enough information without intruding on the visual spectacle.
If you like wildlife and nature films then this is definitely a must have for your collection. Each time you watch it there's something new to see, so I had better re-order before I wear mine out.

Brilliant. The best animal/nature compilation I've come across. Good pace. Jumps animal/location every few minutes, enough to make the intended point and never too long to drag. I believe this feature is a condensed version of the larger 'Life' series, so maybe not worth buying if you've already got that.

Watching it and the closing conclusion in particular is thought-provoking. It's clear animals display intelligence, adaptability and ingenuity. So what is our edge? There's definitely something that differentiates humans from other animals. So what is it that makes us unique? Perhaps this ability to pose questions?...
