Product Description

Product Description

Celia Haddon's husband, Ronnie, gets his revenge in this set of guidelines for those who share a home with one or more feline demi-gods and their devoted humans.

The fundamental rule one of rubbling along with cat and devoted human is to acknowledge that they are right in all circumstances. The good news is that peace may reign without abject surrender.

Take part in enthusiastically choosing the name of a new cat. The main aim must be to prevent it being called something embarrassing like Cleopatra or Saddam Hussein. Never forget that the time will come when you will be discovered in the street shouting, 'Come here, Saddam'.

'Keep cats out of the bedroom at all costs. Infuriating feline fascination with what the humans are up to must have spoiled more nights of passion than grey flannel knickers ever did.'

About the Author

Ronald Payne is a highly respected author and freelance journalist. He is highly qualified to write this book as he is married to Celia Haddon, author of One Hundred Ways for a Cat to Train its Human, who, as her doctor can verify, has a long standing and incurable case of cat addiction.

My wife bought me this as she is a cat breeder and we have four cats, so I fit the demographic of someone who has to live with a 'crazy cat lady' (and the book does really assume that it's a female cat addict). I guess that's the only real use for this book - as a present for someone who has to live with multiple cats because their partner likes them.

The book has fairly gentle humour - no swearing etc, so is suitable for anyone. It's not hilarious but there are few funny bits. It took me about half an hour to read the whole book, so it's only really worth it for a joke present if you can get it cheap.
