These remotes are superb. I looked at a few other brands but I'm glad I opted for this one. There are more expensive remotes out there that have options you'll never need and seemingly make them horrible to operate as you'll forever be referring to the operators manual. This remote however is spot on; as simple to operate as you could wish for, very ergonomic and easy to set up. Almost all our remotes have had their buttons chewed off by our pet rabbit and so I've now bought a couple of these. They work fine with everything from a 90's Bush VCR to a 50" LG plasma TV and Humax satellite box. If you have some very obscure high-end component hi-fi system then yes, this might not suit your needs, but for the vast majority of people this would be the one to go for. "One For All" also do a 2 in 1 and 4 in 1 remote. The 4 in 1 remote has a teach function which some people might like though you'd have to have something pretty obscure to need it I'd have thought. You can see the capabilities of this remote in detail on the "One For All" web-site.
If you have an LG TV then you'll be right at home with this remote as it is quite obviously modelled on LG TV remotes (same shape and size and almost identical button layout). One of the best features of this remote is the "Combination" button which allows it to control a couple of devices without having to hit the mode button to switch from one device to the other (some of the keys will control the TV while some will control the Sat box). Better still the remote can be set-up so that the volume button ALWAYS controls the volume on the TV rather than the volume output on the satellite box or DVD player. The remote has a high power, wide angle output so you do not need to aim the remote precisely at the device being controlled which makes it even nicer to use. We got our first one of these almost a year ago now and it is still working perfectly, the second one we've had a few months and that's working perfectly too - the lettering hasn't got rubbed off and all the buttons work as well as when the remotes were new.
